Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies: 6-Year Integrated B Tech Program
Applications are invited, for admission to first year of 6-year integrated B Tech degree program being offered at the university constituent centers at Basara, Nuzvid and Idupalapaya. Some supernumerary seats are also available for International / NRI students, and to those belonging to States other than AP.

Total no of Seats: 3,000 
Eligibility for Admission 
a) Regular students who passed SSC or its equivalent examination (10th class) conducted in 2011, 
b) Age not more than 18 years as on 31.12.2011 (21 years in case of SC / ST candidates) 

How to Apply 
Applications are through online, by either of the following two modes. 
RGUKT website at : http://admissions2011.rgukt.in 

Candidates may apply online from RGUKT website by payment of Rs.100/- as registration fee through a crossed DD from any Nationalized Bank, drawn in favor of The Registrar, RGUKT, and payable at Hyderabad. 
APOnline: Candidates can also apply through APOnline services by paying a registration fee of Rs 100/- and service charges of Rs 15/- per application to the APOnline service centre. 
In both cases, a print copy of the submitted application along with original DD/APOnline receipt, and copies of the certificates should be sent to The Registrar, RGUKT by registered post. 

Admission Procedure 
a. The selection in each category is based on the marks obtained in SSC or its equivalent examination conducted in 2011. 
b. While preparing the merit list, a deprivation score, weightage of 4% in terms of percentage of marks, will be added to the tenth class marks of an applicant from Government schools including the Zillaparishad and Municipal Schools, as per the Government letter No. 7917/EC.2/2011-3 dated 05.07.2011. 
c. In case of a tie, the candidate who got higher marks in English will be selected. In case of a further tie, marks in Mathematics are taken into consideration. If the candidates get equal marks in both English and Mathematics, the candidate who is older in age will get selected.

Admission of Students from other States and International Students 
a. In order to promote diversity, up to 5% of seats will be added to the existing seats (supernumerary) and will be open to students attending schools in other states, and to international students. Admission will be on the basis of their marks in 10th standard examination. Such candidates who got a minimum of 70% are eligible. The annual fee for students from other states is Rs.1,36,000/- and for International/NRI Students Rs.3.0 lakhs. 
b. Applicants from the States other than Andhra Pradesh and International/NRI applicants shall apply through RGUKT Website only. The Offline Application form (OMR/ICR Sheet) is not meant for them. 

Intimation to Selected Candidates 
a. The list of candidates selected for counseling will be displayed on the university website www.rgukt.in. 
b. The candidates will also be informed by post, e-mail and SMS message, wherever possible, to the address written in the application form 

Counselling 
a. The candidates selected for counseling shall report in person at the RGUKT Campus allotted (Basar/ Nuzvid/ RKValley) for verification of original certificates / documents and the details provided in the application form. 
b. Counseling and selection for admission in respect of candidates belonging to the Special Categories like Physically Handicapped (PH), Children of Army Personnel (CAP), NCC and Sports will be conducted at RGUKT campus, at Hyderabad. 

List of Certificates: 
Copies of the following certificates / documents should be sent along with the print copy of the application that was submitted online: 
i. A crossed demand draft for Rs 100/- in the name of the Registrar, RGUKT, to be payable at Hyderabad (or) the receipt issued by the APOnline services.
ii. Hall Ticket of SSC/CBSE/ICSE (10th class),
iii. Study Certificates from Fourth class to Tenth class/ Residence certificate by those claiming Local category (in any of AU/OU/SVU areas)
iv. Residence certificate / service certificate of parents by those claiming Non-Local category
v. Marks List of 10th class Public Examination, i.e., SSC/CBSE/ICSE/NIOS.
vi. Proof of caste / community certificate (SC/ST/BC) in the prescribed proforma by those claiming reservation under any of these categories
vii. Physically Handicapped (PH) certificate in the prescribed proforma by those claiming reservation under this category
viii. Children of Armed Forces (CAP) certificate in the prescribed proforma by those claiming reservation under this category
ix. NCC certificate by those claiming reservation under this category
x. Sports certificate(s) at the level of inter-district and above by those claiming reservation under this category

Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) 




Online applications are invited from the candidates who intend to be teachers for classes I to VIII in schools in Andhra Pradesh for appearance at first Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) to be conducted by Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh on July 31, 2011 in all 23 Districts of the State.
Eligibility criteria: 
a) Minimum Qualifications for Classes I-V:
Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed in 2 - year Diploma in Education
OR
Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed in 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
OR
Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed in 2 - year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*
OR
B.A. /B.Sc./B.Com with at least 45% marks and B.Ed. (these B.Ed. candidates will be eligible for appointment for classes I to V only upto 1st January, 2012).
Note: Relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks at Intermediate / Senior Secondary level is admissible for SC/ST/ Differently abled Candidates.
Relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks at BA/B.Sc/B.Com is admissible for SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates.

Structure and Content of APTET:
a) All questions in APTET – July 2011 will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking.
b) There will be two papers of APTET-July 2011.
(i) Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
(ii)Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
c) A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).
Paper I (for Classes I to V); No. of MCQs – 150; Duration of examination: 2 ½ hours
Paper I (for classes VI to VIII); No of MCQs – 150; Duration of examination: 2 ½ hours.
For Paper II Mathematics & Science section questions will be as follows:
1. Mathematics 30 MCQs
2. Physical Science 14 MCQs
3. Biological Science 16 MCQs
For Paper II Social Studies portion the syllabus will cover
1. History and Civics 30 MCQs
2. Geography and Economics 30 MCQs
Validity period of TET certificate / Marks Memo:
APTET certificate / Marks Memo shall be valid for a period of 7 years from the date of issue in accordance with NCTE Guidelines.
Weightage For APTET Scores in TRT:
20% weightage will be given to APTET scores in the ensuing Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) of the State Government i.e., 20% weightage is for APTET and 80% weightage for written test in Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT).

CBSE - Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)


Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE ) conducts the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to recruit a large number of teachers across the country in a time bound manner.

Eligibility:
Minimum Qualifications for Classes I-V:

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education (or its equivalent) OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education (or its equivalent), in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 2 – year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
